Project Overview

This project involved the design and installation of a bespoke automated aluminium sliding entrance gate system supported by comprehensive enabling works and site preparation. The aim was to create a modern, secure entrance solution that enhanced both the functionality and appearance of the property while providing reliable automated access.

The Brief

The client required a modern automated entrance system that would improve security while creating a visually striking feature at the front of the property. The installation needed to provide reliable vehicle access control and long-term durability while complementing the contemporary design of the home.

Our Solution

Enabling Works & Site Preparation

All enabling works were completed in-house by Tall Oaks to ensure the site was properly prepared for the automated sliding gate system.

The scope of works included:

Driveway extension to allow full sliding gate travel
Construction of new block walls including integration of a pedestrian access gate
Tree clearance to improve access, visibility, and safety
Installation of an 18 × 200 × 100 sleeper retaining wall to manage ground levels and stability

This integrated approach ensured the entrance infrastructure was designed specifically to support the automated gate system from the outset.

Gate Design & Installation

Heritage Fencing & Gates designed and installed a bespoke aluminium sliding entrance gate tailored to the site layout and client requirements.

Gate specifications included:

4.5 metre wide × 1.8 metre high aluminium sliding gate
80 × 80mm vertical aluminium bar design
Fully welded aluminium construction for strength and durability
Powder-coated finish in black/grey or black
Matching pedestrian gate and aluminium infill panels

Automation & Access Control

The entrance gate system was fully automated using high-quality components designed for reliable and secure operation.

Automation and safety features included:

Roger Technology 800kg sliding gate motor
Akuvox SIP video intercom system
ANPR camera for automatic vehicle recognition
10" internal touchscreen monitor for visitor communication and gate control
Safety loops and photocells for compliant and safe operation

All cabling, foundations, and safety systems were installed as part of the coordinated groundworks, ensuring a clean and professional finish with no exposed services.
