Project Overview

This project involved the design, manufacture, and installation of a bespoke automated Iroko hardwood entrance gate system at a residential property in Bray. The project also included a matching pedestrian gate, structural groundworks, and a new automated garage door to create a fully integrated entrance solution.

The Brief

The client wanted a high-quality automated entrance system that would enhance both the security and appearance of the property. The gates needed to complement the character of the home while incorporating modern automation and convenient access control for vehicles and pedestrians.

Our Solution

Gate Design & Installation

Bespoke double-leaf swan-neck driveway gates crafted from premium Iroko hardwood
Gate width: 3.5 metres
Tongue-and-groove boarded construction with decorative spindles
Finished with Liberon Teak Oil including UV protection for durability
Matching Iroko pedestrian gate installed to maintain a consistent entrance design

Groundworks & Structural Works

Removal of the existing wall and fencing
Installation of a 300mm dwarf sleeper retaining wall
Groundworks completed to create a recessed pedestrian gate opening
Three solid Iroko posts installed to provide long-term structural stability

Automation & Access Control

The gates were automated using a BFT system to ensure smooth, reliable operation.

Intercom with smartphone app control
AES indoor touchscreen monitor for visitor communication and gate control

Garage Door Installation

To complete the entrance system, a new fully automated garage door was installed, providing seamless and convenient access while complementing the new gate installation.
